WOW that Once-ler! SPOILERS

I just saw this movie today. A dear friend of mine had seen it months before and had told me "You will LOVE the Once-ler! Just add him to your list!"

My list is a list of men (real, cartoon, puppet, literary, or otherwise) that I find undeniably delicious. From watching the previews for The Lorax, I'd seen no reason to add the Once-ler to the list; sure, he's tall, thin, dark haired, and pale and those are all things I like, but there was nothing really to catch my attention. BOY did that change!

"How Bad Can I Be" was, for me, the highlight of the film (except the end, when SPOILER! The Lorax came back and the Once-ler hugged him all excited). He went from "meh, he's kinda cute and funny" to "HOLY HELL WHAT A ONCE-lER!" His singing, his movements, his rad guitar playing. I haven't been this dazzled by a cartoon character since Megamind. The man was darn shmexy.

Now, please, tell me there are others out there with this opinion?

I have to admit, for an animated character he was pretty cute. Too bad he isn't real :(

But he IS REAL!!! Check out Josh Ramsay from the band Marianas Trench!!! Bestest band EVER...seriously...and when I first saw this movie I really thought Josh played the Once-ler!! There is even a pic of the Once-ler and a pic of Josh side by side and they are almost identical!!!

He was very hot and cute. If you look on Youtube, Tumblir, further on IMDB or many other websites you will find SO MANY that agree with the opinion including myself.

OMG This thread is hilarious! ...

But I'd have to agree It's kind of like that nerdy guy who COULD be cute if he fixed himself up a bit and carried himself with more confidence. I was watching it today with my 2 boys, and I felt bad and dirty for thinking how cool/sexy he was during "How Bad Can I Be"

I like how Ed Helms (voice of Once-ler) said during a webcast that people who are attracted to his character need to seek psychiatric help.

"I've been living on toxic waste for years, and I'm fine. Just ask my other heads!"

That webcast was embarrassing. I think a huge part of the reason Helms said that was because people kept showing him their fanfics of Once-ler getting raped by the Lorax and sexually charged fanart as well. I can see why that would disturb him.
