does anyone notice the correlation between how scientology took off even though its obviously complete bs?
I mean if someone can write a bible like the scientology bible and it sticks. How is it not as plausible that someone did the same thing with the "holy books" that were written 2000 years ago?
It fills in a need for those that are looking to believe in something. Just because its survived for this long doesnt make it any more true. More like less true. Back then people used the supernatural to explain a lot of thigns we can now explain with science.
People needed answers and there were none to give. I bet you in 200 years we will have an actual answer for 90% of the "proof" that the religious people use to scare people into beleiving in the holy word.
I love what religion can do for people. But it scares the *beep* out of me how ignorant and brainwashed it can make others.
