Why is there no hype whatsoever for the series finale?

I know the show is nowhere near what it used to be, but can't we remember the greatness it once was? Heck, FX isn't even using the words "series finale" in their promos

Because the execs saw the final product and for the sake of dvd sales thought it best for people to remember it for how it used to be...
