I used to like Taco

Now I wish they would beat the crap out of him. He's always such an inconsiderate a hole and they all just let him get by with it. In fact I sort of hate everyone but Kevin and Jenny.

Ruxin has always been loathsome.

Pete is an ugly snarky douchebag that we're supposed to believe pulls hot women despite having no discernible qualities that would attract those women.

Andre is the textbook example of a clueless pretentious idiot.

reply

Taco is the delightful little scamp. Are you saying that snarky douchebag never get good looking women? What room have you been living under? You're right about Ruxin and Andre. Why do you watch the show if you don't like half the characters.

reply

The only reason to continue watching this show is Rafi.

Maybe snarky douchebags that are good looking/can bench more than 100 pounds. But not Pete.

reply

What I thought...

reply

Me too.

Taco, when he is being dumb is great. Like moving the porta-potty into the living room and such.

But, man, I so sick of "Taco Corp". That gag needs to die.

I hate IMDB's Signature policy...

reply

Agreed about "Taco Corp." So stupid and not funny and no real friend or brother would put up with his mooching that is required for every stupid entrepreneur gag he's doing.

reply

The Taco character is played out

reply

You can see in the actors' faces that they've checked out mentally from the series. Everybody has pretty much moved on and are done with the show, except to get paid for their final season contracts.

Knowing most of the comedy on this show is improv, it feels so clunky and forced. In the earlier seasons of the show, their interactions were organic, perhaps even making you want to hang out with these people.

TacoCorp needs to go away, I do agree. Knowing Taco is such a slacker in life, it doesn't make sense for him to have a BS company to make him look good, because the real Taco would rather smoke weed and waste away.

reply

TacoCorp isn't supposed to make him look good, it's just something he started to help roll out and provide continuity for his ideas and is a running gag for the show. It is BS but it might be registered and have some legality depending on what paperwork Taco has managed to properly fill out and submit and Ruxin/Kevin has done. It might be deliberately ironic that Taco has more success without the lawsuits and bad PR that Andrea has with his practice and Taco is not consciously corrupt like Ruxin. TacoCorp is likely more legit than many dummy corporations, several "charities", and Scientology. I know several people who have formed LLCs to seem more professional, obscure ownership, avoid liabilities, and probably taxes while using it to simply managing hunting clubs, real estate holdings, and multiple small businesses. TacoCorp is probably less corrupt than many of those. I liken Taco with TacoCorp to Kramer with Kramerica Industries.

The whole taco corp makes no sense, the stupid thing is that, if he was doing business with anyone else, but his friends and family, he would of already have the $hits beaten out of him and end up in the hospital, so the fact thats he's competent and intelligent enough to know how to make business deals, to make hundreds of thousands, but not competent to know that he's screwing up his brother and sister in law life, makes me now hate the character now.

reply

That's why I don't like Taco much anymore. His being sort of clueless act has turned into him just being a prick to his friend and family and screwing them over all the time. Ruxin was the groups resident a hole and then pete joined him and now Taco too. That's way too many jerks.

I feel the same. This is one of the few shows I ditched totally. The first four seasons were good, but then they should have ended the thing. The original premise is milked dry, there are so many episodes now where there is no league in it. And only a few episodes are good in each season.

reply

Kevin is somehow stupider than Homer Simpson at this point, which is almost impossible when you consider where he started.

Jenny is rapidly closing the gap with each season and is approaching Kevin's level of irresponsibility and stupidity.

Taco is stuck on the same idea he had 6 seasons ago, which makes no sense when you consider that his character is all about living in the moment and not getting committed to anything in particular.

Pete somehow pulls hotter, younger, and more attractive women with each passing episode, despite getting older and not advancing in his career at all.

Andre is a mess and has always been a mess. Depending on the season he's just a different type of mess.

Ruxin and Rafi are about the only consistent characters.

The show is what it is at this point. Let's just rid out the clock and enjoy garbage time.

reply

There wasn't a single laugh to be found in this episode.
The worst bit they ever did (not counting prepubescent fart/gay jokes) was when Kevin was acting like a monkey... I'll be glad when it's over, so I can smack myself in the head for investing time in this steaming pile of crab's ass.

reply

It wasn't always this bad. The first 20 minutes of last night was really bad though. They ruined Taco, I never cared for Andre, Pete is just there, Kevin is annoying and Ruxin is under utilized. They should have just turned this into the Rafi show after he appeared.

reply

Yeah, the lack of Rafi the past two episodes is showing, however the sex ed book was the hardest I've laughed at this show in years.

reply

Rafi in small doses is good but a rafi show would get old really fast.

reply

The show is definitely in garbage time.

RIP The League.

reply

I am just watching for old time's sake. Good that it is ending.
Whole show is getting more absurd with each episode, but not in a good way like in "It is always sunny...". It is cringy and stupid mostly. And doesn't fit with the theme they started at first place.

reply

Rafi is my favorite character in this show, I always laugh so hard when he appears

reply

the first time i noticed the taco change was in a season five episode called 'heavy petting.' it's probably the worst overall episode of the series in my opinion. taco has a dog petting business that has him shocking old dogs to death and leaving his niece to walk home by herself. it's so unfunny. I've never checked but i imagine it was written by somebody completely different. the tone is just so odd and cruel. taco kind of started trending this way from there on out.
