Renewed or not??

Has anybody heard? I thought we were supposed to find out 2 or 3 months ago?? On the Cartoon Network forums there are thousands of posts from people wanting the series to continue, but I don't see anything under any of the actors' bios or online or anything. Anybody know what is going on?

reply

Looks like it won't be renewed. Cartoon Network just announced their returning and new shows for the next season. Tower Prep was not listed as one of the returning shows. Too bad as it was a decent show.

reply

Just because it's not listed on the CN doesn't mean it's not coming back.

The maker of the show said he was pretty confidant it could carry on...and there is alot of buzz about it.

With all these recently cancelled shows - maybe the likes of the 'SyFy' network might pick it up?

He said he was gonna make the announcement about it's future...he hasn't...so maybe he's shopping it round or finalising some kinda deal?

...he should.

reply

Shame CN seems to not be renewing it, I oddly only came here because sci-fi/fantasy fans got the great news Fringe is getting renewed and was hoping something would of been mentioned by now about TP.

According to the show's frontrunner, they are still in talks about whether or not Tower Prep will be back for another season. IMHO TP will probably be cancelled considering that CN cancelled Sym-bionic Titan (Sym-bionic had great ratings). According to what CN presented at Upfront, there is another live action show in the works called Level Up (you can see some pix here: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Jessie-T-Usher/144901602208303 apparently they've been working on this show for awhile; it used to be called NeverFail...) so maybe there's hope for TP. On another note, has anyone else noticed that CN went from being a fairly unisex network to like completely male these last few years?

reply

There is no point to watch live action shows on Cartoon Network if they keep cancelling them. Hopefully Tower Prep will have second season.

reply

I seriously doubt TP will get a second season on CN, and I definatly know SyFy won't pick it up as it's too "kiddy" BUT! There's probally a chance for a station like ABC family or Nick to pick it up.

Check Paul Dini's twitter: Paul_Dini and it says that Tower Prep will only continue if we, the viewers, email them.

reply

How do we email them? I hope Nick picks it up!

reply

you twitter him that is what he wants he wants the fans to twitter him! I just really hope there is a season 2.

It is undetermined if there will be or not. I am guessing that CN will anounce it later in Q1. Let's hope there's a second season soon! I say listen to Paul Dini on his twitter: twitter.com/paul_dini.

Q1 ended in March...

As for Twitter, he still says there's no info on season 2 yet. So who knows just yet. The fact that they canceled the other show just after it finished must be a good sign that they're open to a season 2 which is why they haven't canceled it just yet. Perhaps they want to see how other shows perform before they make a decision.

reply

i really hope the sign it!!!

reply

well i did my best and gave good feedback :)

reply

I normally don't do this because it seems futile, but I did this time because there is a lot of dross on TV to tune out with, but if there's a show that is actually good to do that with it's much preferable. In short, I gave em my two cents too. Hope it works.

Dec 2011. Finally announced that it will NOT be back for a second season leaving the whole show with a cliffhanger.
Absolutely ridiculous and again the viewers are shown no regard at all.

Excellent show and i for one am peeved right off.

reply

That happened with Stroker & Hoop when it got cancelled from Adult Swim. It just said "To be continued?" at the end and the series finale was left a cliffhanger just like Tower Prep was never continued.

My Name Is Earl ended up like this too where an episode was the series finale and it said "To be continued" and the conclusion was never made and never aired.
