Cosmopolis & Capitalism versus The Passion of The Christ & Religion

!!!!!POSSIBLE SPOILER!!!! just to be safe

i have just finished watching this film and the unique take on the (say) final 12 hours of this young magnate are symmetrical (however opposed) to those of Jesus Christ in the movie The Passion of the Christ.
Naturally this is not a talk of plagiarism because the novel Cosmopolis was written one year before before the Passion and i firmly believe on this as simply being a fascinating connection.
I am trying to put first in thought then in words the similarities between these two works, the nuances, that necessity of self destruction that bonds their characters.

Obviously we all understand the magnate is not the son of god and whatever he believed himself to be (i remember him preaching about the necessity of ineffective cork lining on his car), was shattered when he discovered that he shared an asymmetrical prostate with his disciple who had fallen from his grace.

I definitely need to watch this film again but if anyone else is watching after reading this, please your input would be very appreciated...
If anyone reads this before watching the film, please bear this perspective in mind

GO CRONENBERG!!!
you got my 10/10 vote again
