Why did Sarah's mother....

Why did Sarah's mother order Jackie not to speak to her or Sarah?

reply

Because Fallyn's Mother called and told them not to talk to her.and it was alluded that Fallyn came clean to her mother and I sure she was just trying to protect her daughter.

Because Fallyn had convinced her mom (Claire) and Sarah to claim that the three of them were at the house watching DVD's. So as a result, when hearing that Bianca was trying to say that she, Fallyn and Sarah were involved in a situation, of course Sarah's mother would want no part of it. To her, Bianca was trying to get Sarah to lie. Remember, she commented that Claire had talked to her (and remember Claire was willing to lie for Fallyn), so she was going with what she believed to be the truth, not realizing that it was a lie.

I don't believe she came completely clean with her mom. My belief is that Fallyn made up some b.s. about what they did and that Bianca was gonna try to use her 'lack of a reliable alibi' to her advantage. ie, Fallyn and Sarah were out doing something they shouldn't have been doing but it wasn't THAT. So to make it easy, have mom say they were all watching DVD's. There is a certain logic to it that makes sense, even though it doesn't change the fact that it was still a lie. It goes something like this... Why should my daughter and her friend tell on themselves and risk getting in trouble for something they did do in order to have an alibi for something they didn't do? I'm sure her mother caught on pretty soon that her daughter really was involved but might have still been convinced that Bianca was the one who still committed the crime and so "why get involved in the mess?" Of course, after some time, I'm sure she decided that even if Fallyn really did do something wrong, she was going to still stand by what she said before. Sort of a situation where she got past the shock of "omg she might have been involved" and felt that it would be wrong for her daughter to get punished even though she did something wrong.

Reason I say all that is because when Jacqui mentioned her plan (the girls go to the police together to tell them what happened and that Dory was fine when they left), she seemed a little like "Fallyn told me that they did something else" before switching to "they were here with me on Saturday." If Fallyn had come clean with her mom with her mom still lying, I'm sure it would have been rapid to telling that lie.

Of course, I could be wrong and Fallyn could have told her mom the blunt truth up front or even twisted it around so that she knew that Fallyn and Sarah were there (claiming that she and Sarah left Bianca and Dory alone, ie, denying she had anything to do with Dory's death). For as quick as it went from being told to having enough composure to sit there and lie like that, instead of seeming even a little bit rattled, I'm guessing that Fallyn wasn't completely honest with her mom (at least not before that meeting).

Here's the logic to it. If she knew she could tell her mom and that her mom would lie and cover for her, then why not tell her up front what happened, giving them enough time to plan out their alibi so they could stick to it? Also, we've seen how manipulative Fallyn is. She was determined for NONE of the three of them to tell ANYONE what had happened, including not telling anyone about having been out there. She was willing to lie to protect herself, wouldn't surprise me if she lied to her mom so her mom would cover for her and Sarah.
