I'm not saying that's not possible but usually they don't do that. They never showed the father so I guess that's how they explain it.

They actually showed a family picture and the dad was not Asian.

They talked at least a couple of times about Bianca's dad being Hawaiian. Probably best to watch the movie (and pay attention) prior to making ignorant inquiries.
