De Niro, Travolta only reason this is watchable

This is a bad movie. A very poorly written, poorly directed, poorly made movie. Can you imagine seeing this movie if two unknown actors were the leads? It would be completely unwatchable. I watched it because I love De Niro, and although I am not the biggest Travolta fan, I can at least be entertained by his charisma. This movie still sucks, but it's the perfect example of a movie made tolerable by the cast.

I just saw it, and I beg to differ. I actually noticed that a lot of people come here to trash this movie and I don't understand why. What's so bad about it? For me it's not bad at all, I mean maybe you were expecting another Godfather/Goodfellas production type. I thought it was actually pretty well written, some fun dialogues, and stories between characters. I think De Niro did really well, well, when did he ever act bad? I loved the cinematography - no shaky camera, no quick editing. Music. It sounded good, even somewhat memorable. As for Travolta, it's another story. I think he was the wrong choice for this role, bit nevertheless I was entertained. I think people just expect too much, but I had no expectations for this movie whatsoever and maybe that's why I was pleasantly surprised. Moreover, I haven't seen De Niro in action movies in a while and didn't know he still had it in him. He reminded me of Rambo in this one when he was trying to heal himself in the woods, with the bow and a knife. Yea, Rambo I thought, it was cool.
