I'm pretty sure the actress is not the one who decided what her character's outfits would be. Bitch about that to the director or the producers.

Well her clothes make sense since she says she likes old things. I believe she has a type writer and uses an old film camera. Not to mention her car. So it makes sense that her clothes would match her taste. Now if only I could say the same for the story.
