At what point did you decide this game was awesome?

For me it was very early on when I just rode out into the prairie and it was one of this crystal clear nights full of stars. The music kicked in and I just though: "This is friggin awesome."

Well, when I slamed a woman on to the rail road and watched her get splattered..
When it comes to girls, it's the opposite of beer, I pick quality over quantity

I did this too on about the second day while twiddling my pretend mustache laughing hysterically.

But I realized the game was awesome about an hour in when on my way to Armadillo I got completely sidetracked hunting whatever was unfortunate enough to find itself in my sights.
Can't keep me off this escalator!

Cosigned. I heard so many good things about this game, but I've never been big on western themed stuff. But I got it as a present so I popped it in. Still wasn't sure if I liked it until I realized I spent over an hour and a half shooting and skinning animals. I made sooooo much money at the general store!

I still haven't finished the game. I've been too busy hunting the wolves and coyotes into extinction.

Don't try to cash in love, that check will always bounce.

The moment I put the game in.

I seen't you rip a mans jawbone off! I SEEN'T IT!

The point when I was picking flowers, and I thought to myself, "I'm picking flowers, and it's engaging." Only a great game can make me have that feeling and not be boring.

As soon as I saw the first trailer.

Believe.

Probably when the song Far Away kicked in when I first got to Mexico. Only then did I realize I was playing a masterpiece of video gaming.

reply

When I put the disc in... when Far Away played in Mexico, that was the icing on the cake.

Oh Jesus on Ice Skates!

when I saw the X-PLAY review. then I got a game-boner for RDR.

I was waiting for that point, and it never really happened. I wanted it to, but the pacing was ruined by intense glitching and characters I didn't care about.

Intense glitching? I've never run into a glitch I would consider intense. Minor issues at worst.

Can't say anything about the character you didn't care about. That's down to opinion.

Immediately, since it was the first Xbox game I ever played. Bought myself one for my birthday plus a few games and decided to play this one first. My whole family was gob smacked at that moment XD

reply

The intense glitching must be a PS3 thing. Ive seen very few glitches on the 360 (same with Fallout:New Vegas).

I think for me it was the mission where you had to save the women at Ridgewood Farm. Was brutal and awesome. Also, the thunderstorms in the game did it for me. Theyre by far the most realistic thunderstorms Ive seen in a game thus far.

Yeah, pretty much. The glitch count went into the 30's for me before I lost count. For a 20 hour game, I just couldn't muster the justification for liking it and seeing past the flaws.

The missions, but most remarkable was when John died.

Dude, there may be people who haven't finished this yet. Spoiler tags are there for a reason!

Also when John died, and then I noticed that I was REALLY into it when I saw the people who killed him. Boy I wanted vengeance.....BADLY.
