Alternative reality

This movie takes place in a parallel universe called "Low Budget". It looks as if it was shot on a set left over from the early 1980s. The scarcity of main characters makes you wander who left the fate of the whole earth to three guys, including one honest and brave American, one rather dim Russian, and one scheming Chinese. And why the American's wife and daughter have to be so dumb? And I would almost forget to add that this is probably the worst movie I've ever seen, competing against East German "Besuch bei Van Gogh" (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0090714/), but perhaps even worse.
