i thought it was pretty cool how they used Joey Pollari's real life growth spurt as a turning point in the movie...or did they plan it that way?! either way, looks like an interesting movie

Did they? I was wondering how they did that. I mean, they couldn't have known when he was going to have a growth spurt, could they?

apparently they started the movie in the summer of 2007...then blatz went to film the first season of aaron stone and then they returned to skyrunners over a year later. Of course during the time the brother grew like a foot and his voice changed so they wrote it into the movie. it was not planned hence the fact that they really didnt go anywhere with the whole fact that he reads minds and has super strength, they just kinda mention it really, it served him no good in the end really. so yea, it was written into the script.

I totally rewound it and thought it HAD to be the same actor, and I just had to come here to see what the heck happened.

I thought it was just fancy camera work haha, they do it all the time to make actors seem taller.

Oh wow, all this time I thought they were using an elder brother for the role. It never occurred to me that it was the same actor, because I assumed that the movie was filmed all around the same time like most Disney Channel movies are. o_O; Weird.

In the previews I definately thought it was another actor playing the "transformed" Tyler. But once I watched the movie I was sure it was the same boy and they had used certain effects like trenches and soapboxes for the height and such. But it does make a lot of sence that they would write it in once he grew for real. I'm glad they did though, because I like it.

But when you really think about it, it didn't do much for him. Why would a living alien space craft come find this boy, give him supernatural abilities, and, oh yeah, make him experience puberty all in one night. Haha.
