wth...(RANT)

I don't understand why people really liked this movie. The person that you're supposed to root for, Annie, is so annoying. She wasn't a likable character at all. There's 2 things that she did that was extremely unnecessary.

1) The engagement party. The way she acted was so ridiculous. She acted like a child not getting her way. Even if she was that upset, she could've told Lil how she felt in private or something. But no, just destroy everything and ruin you "best friend's" engagement party. It just wasn't funny.

2) The jewelry store scene. I know a lot of people found this part hilarious, but the girl was right. She started the whole thing. She deserved to get fired and I didn't even feel bad for her at her "worst moments."

Sorry, I normally don't express my opinions much, but this always bothered me. I just couldn't like Kristin Wiig in this.

She did act like a child and could have told Helen in private but then the movie would have pretty boring. I personally thought it was a hilarious scene, and yes although Annie was childish, Helen was blatantly trying to get one up on her

Again, another hilarious scene, if you don't find it funny that's fine, we are all different, but the teenage girl was a little bitch. Yes, Annie did start it with saying " Are you sure that you want it to say forever?" Which she probably shouldn't have said, but the teenage brat said "You're weird" first.

Annie was very immature but I thought Kristin Wiig was hysterical in this, I actually thought she was the funniest in Knocked Up even though she only had a tiny role, I didn't even know who she was then but she stood out.

"What you don't like rice? Tell me Michael, how can a billion Chinese people be wrong?"

I actually thought she was hilarious in knocked up! I think the reason why I liked her in knocked up and not this was because she was supposed to be a bitch in knocked up. She played her character very well.

The reason why I couldn't like her in this was because she was the main character and she was supposed to be likable. You were supposed to root for her but she just wasn't someone I would feel sympathetic for because of her lousy attitude. Idk I just found it hard to like her.

She definitely behaved badly but I did think Helen was worse.

Nah, while Helen definitely threw money around in an attempt to manipulate people into liking her, she wouldn't have thrown a fit and ruined her best friend's party like that.

Reality is subjective.

But she did feed her pills on the plane!

reply

Annie was supposed to have a lot of problems, that's why she did not act normal.

reply

LOL I was go glad Annie threw that fit, because I would be having a mental breakdown if I were her. Honestly, once Helen started taking over I would've gotten pissed and said I wasn't going to the wedding...I wouldn't have made it that far. It sucks balls to "lose" your best friend, and have the feeling that they're moving on and leaving you behind. Congrats on never having this happen to you.
And yes, that girl was acting like a ****, the sketch was to play on what everyone who worked in retail probably felt at one point.

You've clearly never worked retail. Dealing with the human public on a regular basis is like waddling through a herd of foot-and-mouth-diseased cattle without wearing pants while trying to sell them *beep* they don't need and aren't looking for as they barf and shlt all over you. Every good boss understands when a breakdown occurs it's usually the customers' fault and that this kind of job gets to everyone, eventually.
