OK, I got this from Gamefly and fired it up. For starters, I'm more of a classic rock guy so I found that many of the bands I never heard of but out of 89 songs, there were plenty of favorites of mine. I was stoked at 1 song on the list: Sympathy for the Devil. One of the greatest songs ever. I choose it, and it starts, then I see the first note to play and it's...a piano chord? WTF? Um, isn't this Guitar Hero? Then I see another song that I love, Superstitious by Stevie Wonder. Cool..or so I thought. I get into it and the chords are...organ/synthesizer? A couple of other songs were like this. I want to play guitar chords, not pianos, organs, or horns. So, back to Gamefly it went.

Lol thank god you have some sanity... I think its like an inside joke at activision to make the game like they do. Kids would still be clueless and buy the game none-the-less if they had them play a flute or some other obscure instrument.

Same here. I already feel lame for playing a plastic guitar. Now I have to play fake piano and violin on a plastic guitar? Rock Band is usually pretty good at not charting keyboards and orchestra and stuff as guitar. I feel like, if anything, though, keyboard and synth could be played if you select bass guitar instead.
