Something I'm Amazed Nobody Noticed

Brownstar, the insurance company for which our protagonist works is a play on words. Made even more obvious is their logo:

Some hints...a brownstar is slang for something, well, a little dirty.

Take a look at the pictures and see if you notice it now that I pointed it out (pun intended).

If you've ever read Vonnegut's Breakfast Of Champions you could make the connection.

OK, now that's funny!

I noticed, I thought it was a little "on the nose", so I'd be surprised if it hasn't been mentioned because it is so obvious. The fact that it is located in Brown Valley is a bit of a give-away too.

There is also a Mike Pyle, although as none of the other character names are as... anal, perhaps it is a coincidence.

If I went 'round sayin' I was Emperor, just because some moistened bint lobbed a scimitar at me, they'd put me away.

If you love that kind of thing, check out the Goonies sometime.

It's a kids film, and they are chasing after treasure left by a pirate called 'One-Eyed Willy'.
