Absolutely phenomenal.

Blew me away. No wonder this made a billion dollars. This film is the culmination of ten years of visual effects honing from a good number of blockbuster films. It next levels everything you've seen before. The one-liners are pretty good. Soundtrack was incredible, both the score and the songs. Everything so complimentary and nothing out of place. The level of craft all around simply astounding. Like, this was the best sword and sorcery adventure film i've ever seen. I even stopped hating Amber Heard. Amazing. I couldn't believe it. A delight start to finish. I feel like I been places, man. I feel like I done things. So many delicate touches. So much attention to detail. Easily Momoa's least hammy performance so far. Dafoe was great. Villains were villainy. Everybody did a great job. Man it was great watching Aquaman save people in that city fight! Exciting. So much momentum and grace with the action. Woo. Damn. Kidman was hot again. Just killer. You'll notice i'm not talking about the story too much. Eh, it was a comicbook movie! Loved it.

You don't deal with different opinions too well do you, Bruno? lol

I wrote “no”.

Are you going to cry over that, too? LOL

I liked the underwater craft and cities. Great effects.

The last third definitely needed 'more cowbell'. I'm sure they could've crowbarred a bit more in there.

reply

I usually hate that sort of thing but because of the nature of the sea, I just thought that made a lot of sense in this movie.

reply

Yeah, it was kind of neat.

Whuuut??? that "Ocean to Ocean" remix by Pitbull was goddamn horrible.

reply

Glad you liked it.

Me? I came out of it thinking "that was absolutely horrible".

reply

No that was JUSTICE LEAGUE you saw. Compared to that piece of trash or BvS, this is The Shawshank Redemption.

reply

They're all bad.

I finally saw it and man, what a blast!

This is the way Warner Bros should have been doing DC movies this entire time.

It had a solid story, pulled from the comics. It was colorful, not gray-blue shadowy like previous DC entries. It had good casting, decent acting, great action sequences and it didn't forget to be FUN! In short, it was everything a comic book movie is supposed to be and that's why it's grossed over 1 billion dollars. Way to go Warner Bros!

Oh and Black Manta was AWESOME to see on the big screen!

Black Manta looked great. Too bad they gave him such a lame storyline. They made him kind of lame too. Such a major disservice to a great character.

This movie should have been Lobo and substituted space for the ocean. Might have liked it then. Mamoa is a perfect Lobo.
