Primary actor appeals to men but not to women.

That's smart in the sense that males are the target market, but they are losing the women by not having a Chris Hemsworth type actor in the main role. Jason Momoa's not unattractive by any means, he's just a man's man and a figure of what men think women are attracted too. Some women do go for that look of course but most prefer a more facially 'pretty' man.

reply

Roll huh?

He's not my type nor is Hemsworth but a lot of women go gaga over Momoa even more than Hemsworth. Just look at the Kahl Drogo fan girls.

reply

Auto correct mistake, I didn’t say that he didn’t appeal to any woman, it’s simply that more women are attracted to an unbearded and slightly vulnerable character.

reply

That's strange. There are several studies that show that women prefer bearded men.

Personally, I don't care for beards, but after I started growing one just for a change of look, I was told by various women to keep it/that they preferred me with a beard.

reply

You are a man, I'm simply trying to give you a woman's perspective. It doesn't mean that I'm right and you are wrong but you've taken it personally.

reply

And it's not the perspective I've encountered from most women I've spoken to in the real world, nor is it backed up by any scientific studies.

reply

The information that I get from my male friends is different from the information I would have if I was a male. Hopefully you realize this difference.

reply

You are so correct, which is why there is zero chemistry between him and one of the hottest actresses ever, Amber Heard, on screen.

reply

sorry buddy but this man is a pussy magent, end of.

reply

Well, you are a man, correct? It seems that the only replies i’m Getting are from men which illustrates my point that men have a different idea of what women want in a man.

reply

I know several women who went to see Aquaman just because of Mamoa. None that went to see Thor because of Hemsworth.

reply

Likewise. Every woman I know who's aware of his existence says he's the hottest thing in the world!

Which would make him the ideal marketable Hollywood action hero, the man men want to be and women want to bang, and FYI some men want to bang. Woof!

reply

Yup. Even though guys like The Rock and Vin Disel have their fans, it's nothing compared to Mamoa.

reply

He is a monumentally hot man.

reply

Oh for sure. Said the straight dude.

reply

You see, this is what I mean, that men believe that the rock, vin diesel and Mamoa are what the majority of women find most attractive in men. If you don’t know any women that watch Thor for Hemsworth, well, I don’t know what to tell ya other than I went to the Thor films with a pack of ladies, though to be fair, I think there are more ‘Loki’ fans.

reply

Tall, nice muscles and generally good looking? Yeah, I'm pretty damned sure that's what the majority of women find attractive. Also the kind of no-nonsense, take charge, "warrior clan leader" thing that Mamoa has going for him is something that most women find attractive.

reply

Whatever, it's not worth arguing about. It's just my observation.

reply

Really? I've never considered it that way at all. I'm sure there are plenty of women who find a muscular man like Mamoa attractive. Women are not only attracted to the skinny-pretty boy-type either.

reply

I agree with you that there ARE plenty of women who do find him very appealing. However, more women are attracted to a beardless, less ‘beefcakey’ man lol

reply

Fair enough.

reply

Wrong!

I personally prefer the clean-shaven look to beards, but various studies demonstrate that women prefer either light-stubble, or, if they are looking for a life-partner/father for their children, a beard: https://www.psychologytoday.com/gb/blog/the-attraction-doctor/201607/do-women-prefer-men-beards

Maybe the women you hang out with are particularly young, but I suspect by the time a woman gets to her late twenties/early thirties and is more serious about settling down and having a family, their sexual preferences gravitate towards bearded, or at least stubbly, men.

reply

You're having a laugh chap.

My missus would leave me in a heartbeat for Jason Momoa, shes told me as much.

reply

Hopefully you told her in return that he wouldn't even notice her haha

reply

Wrong.
Jason Momoa is extremely hot..
It's not just his physical perfection but how he comes across in interviews with his down to earth humor.
His physical attributes do limit the types of roles he gets but it doesn't distract from his appeal.

Why do men assume that women can only be attracted to one "type"?
I find a wide variety of different male types appealing..

reply

You have terrible reading skills.

Jason Momoa's not unattractive by any means, he's just a man's man and a figure of what men think women are attracted too. Some women do go for that look of course but most prefer a more facially 'pretty' man.

reply

Hmm.. unpleasant about such a random, offhand topic.. You don't care for other opinions?
Why is he a "man's man"? Because he has muscles or because of the types of roles he plays
because he has muscle?
And who are you to state that most woman desire a beardless less beef cakey man? Do you know most women or are you one of those Millennials that runs crying and screaming from body hair?

reply

Maybe the women are mostly racist, and prefer Hemsworth, a blond, blue-eyed, Anglo-Saxon (can you get an anymore WASPy name than 'Chris Hemsworth'?), to the Native Hawaiian, and more obviously 'ethnic', Jason Momoa.

reply

Sounds like you are racist towards Anglo-Saxons to me.

reply

How can you be 'racist' towards Anglo-Saxons?!?

Anyway, I like Chris Hemsworth. I'm just curious why these women prefer him to Jason Momoa, despite both men being tall, handsome and very built. Physically, I can only attribute it to their different 'colouring'...

reply

Haw can you be racist towards Anglo-Saxons? They are a race. How has that escaped you?

reply

Racism is 'prejudice plus power': https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prejudice_plus_power

reply

So you can't be racist towards 'white people' what nonsense!

reply

No it's not, lol.
