It will be their biggest hit globally since The Dark Knight Rises. It may not surpass Wonder Woman domestically but it will be close.
shareI don't think Aquaman is an event film but I do believe that it will have a huge curiosity factor going for it. I also think that Wan has nailed the action/fun tone for this (given the trailer) and that Aquaman will play the 2:1 totals between Intl/US. International will double domestic USA easily. Suicide Squad did $325 domestic and Aquaman appears to be a richer experience that Wan has tapped into. Atlantis will be a bigger draw than Themiscyra as Aquaman will spend more time there.
Aquaman will be what John Carter of Mars could have been. The Dude-Bro shtick is not my thing but Jason does sell it and he is high energy enough to make it work. I'm tending to agree with your prediction even though you're still doing the trolling thing which kind of discredits you. There is a ton of negativism that Warner has created and Aquaman will be a "Show-Me" film test for audiences. Comic Book fans will see Aquaman in pretty healthy numbers. Most will be Marvel fans no doubt as DC fans are fickle or don't really exist. That's just me trolling.

Well Good News hit today for Aquaman....
WB announced today that Aquaman is opening 2 weeks early in China before its domestic release....
For me this highly suggests WB is confident in the film and pretty much goes against The way they've opened the previous DCEU films....
With BvS, SS and JL ...WB literally waited until the last possible second to release and lift the review embargo as They knew they had horrible films and were trying to hide them as long as possible!
If I remember right I think WB lifted the reviews embargo about 2 weeks ahead of Wonder Woman as they began having confidence in the films quality ....
With Aquaman being released 2 weeks early in China, that means reviews will start getting out 17 days to 3 weeks out before its US release...
to me this suggests WB not only has confidence in the film but is intentionally releasing it this early because they believe WOM is going to be great and they want it to build(Baisically they are copy Marvel studios)
Marvel Studios does this with nearly all thier Great MCU films that they know are going to get excellent reviews...
