so humiliating...

I'v only seen tonights episode, but out of the 3 "couples" only 2 of them actually met. Isn't this humiliating and confirming that idea that looks do matter? I don't know about anyone else but i would feel pretty crappy if somone saw me then decided not to show up based on my looks. I enjoyed watching this, but who would ever want to go on and put themselves through that! i was almsot awkward for me to watch it.

But isn't that how it is even without this show?
I guess the show is trying to "prove things wrong" by having it be a Dark Date.

I definitely think the show was trying to prove things wrong. However, they have reinforced it more than ever. This show has shown that looks are about 90% and personality is about 10%.

keep in mind most of these people are (wannabe) actors & models. they have huge egos that even televised rejection wouldn't permanently damage them.

Wishing that heroes, they truly exist (since 2000)

i know, i feel awkward watching the show too...especially when a nice cute guy gets rejected. there's usually nothing wrong with them, but i guess not their "type". i'd be depressed and bitter after going thru that.

Well, if you are one of those girls who wonders 'why does that nice cute guy not ask me out?' this show should go some way towards explaning it.
