So its all about the looks right?

What a stupid show. If the whole premise is looking past superficial appearances, then people who choose each other should just be forced to go an a date. If after spending all that time int he dark you can't go on one goddamn date you shouldn't be on this show. Or seeing anyone.

But I'm afraid the bitch*es on this show would run screaming if that ever happened. I guess this show is just reinforcing the old cliche that its all about looks.
At least most men are honest about what they want!

The funny thing about Melaine being judgment about Jason's looks... thinking he was ordinary looking...(which I understand her point about him thinking he's SO great looking)... is she's kinda ordinary looking too. It's not that she was stunning or anything. I think he was a bit better looking in the light though. Several of the people look much better in the real light...rather than in the 'spotlight' of a darkened room.

But meeting someone on the balcony...is not a 'commitment'. So I don't know what the big deal is to meet the other person... and go for a cup of coffee or something... and see where it goes from there. In fact...where DO they drive off too? Around the block? lol The show should at least treat the couples that pick each other to lunch.

To be fair gingercat, Tawny and Leo had no connection/chemistry at all. If anything, blame the producers for making leo go into teh darkroom knowing that Tawny would not be there.

Melanie may have been more put off by his personality than his looks. Unless she comes on here and gives us more information, we'll never know. Her forehead was distracting, though. I would not have gone on the balcony if I would have been in Jason's place.

Surpised no one has mentioned the episode where all three ladies chose Chris, then all rejected him after seeing him in the light? Ridiculous, especially the navy chick who had obvious chemistry with him.

If anything, this shows proves that at least in the states, city women are far more shallow than even the media would have you believe. The men on the show were also shallow, but when not judging the women by looks, tended to be a lot more accepting of them than the women were of the men.
