Garrows Age ?
How old was William Garrow at the beginning of series 1 and how old was he at the end of series 3 i have often wondered what the span of his life in years that the whole 3 series depicted ?
shareIt's difficult to say because Garrow's Law seemed to play very fast and loose with actual history! (Much as I loved this production!)
In real life, William was called to the bar in 1784, at the age of 23. His first case at the Old Bailey was that same year. Sarah had her first child by Arthur Hill in 1778, but her next two children by Garrow were born in 1781 and 1784. Garrow and Sarah finally married in 1793.
