What actor played the prince in Series 3 Episode 1?

I'm not sure what title the prince had. They told Garrow in the court to address him as His Royal Highness, but I can't see a listing in IMDB for a prince or His Royal Highness. Is he the one listed as the Duke Of York? Tim Steed? I thought he looked familiar but it was hard to tell under the wig, and when I look at Tim Steed's IMDB page there is no photo, and his credits don't include anything that I think I've seen.

Its really bugging me! LOL! If anyone can help....

Cheers,
Lady Imrahil

HRH was the Duke of York, yes - they didn't mention his name or title in the episode as far as I recall but he does refer to the Battle of Famars while giving evidence. The Duke was the British commander at that battle.

That's the agency's site. Hope that helps( according to the photo it's that actor).

I don't know much about British royalty, but why is the Duke of York called His Royal Highness?? I thought that would be reserved for a king or prince.

He WAS a Prince. His title is a Royal Dukedom. He was the son, and then brother of The King. Children (and grandchildren) of the Monarch are entitled to be known as His/Her Royal Highness. Currently we have HRH Andrew, Duke of York, the present Queen's son. This DoY is infamous for being the source of the nursery rhyme The Grand Old Duke of York.
(The grand old Duke of York,
He had ten thousand men.
He marched them up to the top of the hill
And he marched them down again.
And when they were up, they were up.
And when they were down, they were down.
And when they were only halfway up,
They were neither up nor down.)
