Yes, there are similarities, and I really enjoyed that one, too. However, the main issues here involved commitment, longterm relationship break-up, mid-life career transition and major health concerns. All serious issues, handled here with humanity and humor. These guys first tried to rescue themselves the only way they knew, from their youth, and found it wasn't working. They weren't kids anymore. They were challenged to face their mortality and re-adjust to reality.
