Does anybody know..Will there be a Japanese Sequel to this?

I'm having trouble finding information on this film. Was this considered a success or failure. Will there be a sequel?

Wondering the same thing, I believe it did well.

This can't be considered bad, as it did show in cabe TV in Brazil, more than once!!
Hope they do a sequel...

SPOILERS:

Um, well, since pretty much every main character ends up dead and the Yamato is blown to hell, I seriously doubt it.

I've heard on the grapevine the sequel is likely to be called Space Battleship Yamato 2: The Lifeboat Returns.🐭
