Why this was ruined for me

The final trap was too easy to escape. For the final hook in the chest trap couldn't he have wrapped up his shirt and tied it to his body and put the hooks through that? Or put the hooks through his belt loops? Or stack up the desks that were a few feet away to get a higher start? Or put each chain underneath an armpit and slip the hook through one of the links to create a loop? So for the final trap of the entire series that's the best they came up with? And the big reveal of what his wife's trap was at the end was something that was done in Saw 2, 5 movies ago.

U don't get the whole reason for the wifes trap to be that reverse bear trap u need to rewatch the movies. Also another cool thing about it is if u were a saw fan u know that no one has ever died from that trap they got out and the one before this last one we only get to see it half way rip someone apart and the final ending we saw fans finally get to see someone's face ripped open from it. It's the one trap everyone wanted to see go off

He's talking about Bobby's wife, not John's.

you have characters who did nothing to deserve being put in a trap, dying horrible deaths with no way out.

But wasn't it because Hoffman took over? Jigsaw/John gave the people in traps a chance. Hoffman didn't. Look at the angel/Kerry trap in SAW III. There he started to take over and create his own rules.

That was Amanda.
