They brought back Dr. Gordon for the fans, to which I *beep* my pants outta excitement the first time I heard that. But the execution was horrible, it was a slap in the face to fans of the original Saw as his character changed so dramatically. Instead of writing in his character cleverly, they just straight up copied fan made theories about what happened to Dr. Gordon. There was absolutely no mention of his family which was his main driving force in the original film. Also he doesn't even mention Adam, their relationship is huge part of the first film and the fact that he doesn't even say his name once is crazy. Why would he choose to help Jigsaw after surviving, as Adam is still a prisoner, since Adam saved Gordons life from Zepp, you would think he would try and save his life. The scene where Gordon is at the survivors group meeting, it could've gone so much better. Gordon could've explained what happened to his family there, and he also could've explained why he never went back to Adam as well. We're just left to assume that Dr. Gordon has no ties with his family anymore and that he straight up does not care about Adam, which taints the original film. And when Gordon goes back to the bathroom in Saw3d, not even a glance over to Adam. Instead of answering questions they created a *beep* more, everything just felt rushed.

Yes, that was a huge disappointment and confusing. I mean this movie was such a mess and then on top that, Gordon is suddenly alive, there is a meeting for Jigsaw survivors and there is this one (liar) that we just learn about now. It just a total pulled out the ass story.
The thing with Gordon is it took 6 movies to find out what happened to him and then to basically say, oh yeah he's been alive this entire time. I've read (don't know the whole story) that Cary Elwes had problems with producers or someone and that's why he couldn't come back - then years later, it's the "last" Saw, and he's back and Elwes said "he'll return only if it's the LAST Saw". Now like I said, not sure how much of this is true.
For years, fans on the boards talked about Gordon being alive and helping Jigsaw, and I thought it was stupid and then when I went to see this garbage in theaters and saw that's what they did.........wtf, seriously?
This was on last night on Epix, somehow I sat through the first 40 minutes and that was already too much.

But you were ok with the pink blood? Or the ridiculous oven at the end? Or the sentry gun? Or the guys from the first trap helping Gordon? Really? That was your problem with this movie?
