The death of Bobby's girlfriend, unlike most others, felt wrong

I can't think of a single innocent in Jigsaw's traps (except maybe Zepp but we don't know what he did to deserve being there) other than Bobby's girlfriend. Unlike the lawyer, best friend and publicist she actually believed him, she wasn't part of the scam (knowingly) and she didn't have a way out. I think this is the only time an innocent is murdered in a game (except obviously the tons of policemen killed by Hoffman).

Being six movies deep into the series most people seem to forget the specifics of the original movie but Jigsaw has always used innocents in his games.

Zep was a guy who was basically used as a doormat, he allowed others to walk all over him. So for his game Jigsaw was handing him a gun and telling him that if he wanted to live he would have to take control and stand up for himself, which is why his task was to hold Doctor G's family hostage. Also why he very clearly enjoys his task, shown by him taunting the family with the stuffed animals and stethoscope, it's the first time in his life he's had power over someone else.

In the case of innocent people being used in the games, Doctor G's family were going to murdered by Zep if Doctor G failed. Obviously they escaped but Jigsaw did intend for them to die if Gordon failed. In Saw II Eric's son, Daniel was put in the nerve gas house with criminals that his father framed. Daniel had done some petty stuff like shoplifting but was still just a kid, so I think it would be fair to say he was innocent. Daniel was only in the house to be used as bait as part of Eric's test. Amanda was only in the house so she could try to keep Daniel alive. So Jigsaw intended for Daniel to live but regardless he placed Daniel in a very volatile situation that he was very lucky to have survived.

A lot of people seem to criticize the sequels for having traps in which not everyone could survive, but again, there have always been traps like that since the first film. In the reverse bear trap, Amanda had to cut open the guy's stomach to get the key. One of them had to die in that situation. In the bathroom game Adam had to die or Doctor G's family were guaranteed to die. Jigsaw is obviously a psychopath but in his own deluded sense of fairness, as long as each person in a trap has the opportunity to survive, it abides by his philosophy. Not all of the victims will walk away from the traps alive, but the important part is each victim has the potential to survive.
