Tiger sharks, huge octopus, cave diving

Terror in paradise had it all! Swimming with 20 ft tiger shark, huge octopus and deep cave diving! Wade really got hands on in this episode. Plus the scenery was beautiful. I wouldn't think someone who is patient enough to cast 13,000 times to catch a muskie would also be into taking big risks like this for a living.

I agree, very nice episode.
Too bad that quality episodes like this get sided with clip/filler episodes, but it is nice when an episode like this comes along.

Even though i have my doubts about the credibility of the stories of missing people and children in blue holes, i think theyd more likely have drowned, rather than being pulled down by some elusive animal.

The holes look very inhospitable to animals, the deep steep walls make for bad hideouts.
Im not sure if currents are also something to look out for, or maybe those water holes are stagnant.
But if they are stagnant, then there is little circulation, most of the food would come from vegetation debris falling down or nutrition bubbling up from the bottom, so most of the action would probably be near the bottom of the hole, not near the surface.
So i find it very unlikely that any animal would want to end up in an inland blue hole, but, i could believe that IF an animal would end up there, that it would be very hungry and desperate, making it more likely to make a bold attack.

The sharktopus that the black man was talking about, according to Jeremy was seen near a blue hole in the shallow waters on the sea/ocean side, so it doesnt guarantee that it went inside or came from inside a blue hole, it could as well just have swam near it by coincidence.
And the story of the man and the struggle with the octopus was not related to a blue hole at all.

Considering that Wade works with the tell tale stories of mysterious monsters, but also taking into account what animal really could make that cave journey physically, i do think that he made the right call by going for the octopus.
But i still dont think that it actually happened there.

I really wished Wade would dive down an inland blue hole, because the way the sea water and fresh water meet down there is really interesting, it would have been nice to have had Jeremy's take on it.
But the dark cave was pretty intriguing too, one of the rare times that i could actually feel the eerie darkness of the deep sea.
I like cephalopods, it was nice to hear Jeremy talk with such respect for the octopus.

Jeremy has been through a lot of adventures and im glad to see that he can still take it to another level every time, dont forget that he even experienced a plane crash in Suriname, id say it would make for a better ending to a life than the way Steve Irwin went, but i sure hope to see lots more of Wade for many years to come.

Have you seen Expedition Unknown? Josh Gates dives into several Cenotes. There is a spot in one of them where the fresh water meets the salt water. Erie, Creepy, & Oh so Cool!

~^~ YES! It Really IS Me. ~^~
