Has this guy ever solved a mystery?

I suspect I've watched only one of these shows from beginning to end, and the ending was something like, "...we'll never know." While channel surfing, I have watched it for a few minutes, so I know he's out to solve mysterious attacks and disappearances, but every ending I've seen was as noted above.

I think there was only 1 episode where "it got away", and that was the Loch Ness monster episode, since, well, it doesnt exist, but he did offer an alternative of what it could have been.

There is also a bunch of clip episodes and rehashes, but the real proper episodes usually close with the fish he was looking for, so i dont know which ones you have seen.

So you are saying he has solved most of those human disappearances? He learned which creature(s) caused their demise?
Here are episodes I remember: people getting their genitals slashed off; four Aussie lads disappeared; numerous people disappeared in rivers in Latin America, India, Africa, and Alaska.

I guess youre taking his "fresh water detective" tagline a bit too seriously.

His interests are mainly in the fish. The victims and mutilations are reason for him to investigate what is in the waters, but hes not going to arrest a fish and put it on trial. Its no CSI or Hawaii H2-0.

When he mentions people getting dragged into the water, or genitals mutilated, he does actually close the episode off with what he thinks is the most believable culprit.
He suspects wild piranha with humanlike teeth for some cases of mutilations, giant catfish for dragging kids under etc., fishes that he catches in those waters himself.

The show is meant to entertain. Nothing more. He does "investigate" but he's really only giving his best guess most of the time. Most people (Like me) just tune in to see how big a fish he'll catch. It's not like "Finding Bigfoot" where they never find or prove anything.

Mr. Wade does find the fish in question, based on interviews and his knowledge of the fauna and behaviors of the local population.

Yes bull sharks will attack people in the shallows of fresh waters. No one expects a shark attack under those conditions.

Not always but I believe he's the best at solving mysteries when a deadly sea creature is involved.

I think what he does is find a best fit to local legends and stories about attacks. Hypothetical episode, you get a story of some kid being chomped in half in a river and you can show that there are large alligators in those waters then that is a pretty good fit. Sometimes you do not have such an ideal fit so you have to extrapolate and guess. No gators but 50 years ago there was a shark caught there, maybe another shark got the kid. If he can find another shark in the water then that supports the idea a shark could have got the kid. So he goes fishing. Along the way he is sure to find some other odd creatures that could be considered and they show those.

I am sure in most of these shows they already have a very good idea of what did the attack. Probably well documented already, but they pretend to have a mystery to make a good show. I ignore the pretense and enjoy learning more about some interesting animals.
