Do you like it?

I'm interested in watching this at some point.

It doesn't have a 9.1 on IMDB for nothing, I love first two seasons both are 10/10 and the Specials are great imo. Third and Forth can be hit and miss but it's still of a high standard. Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman are a great Sherlock and Waston. Andrew Scott is great. You could tell with later seasons they probably rushed them a lot cause of their two leads busier schedules. I'm not a big fan of Amanda Abbington as Mary. You can see why the show became such world wide hit.

So for me First two season are excellent. The specials are great imo. Third and Forth seasons aren't as strong but still of a high standard.

I would have thought being Holmes in the 21st century would have been difficult, if not impossible. This series managed to pull it off, but started t go off the rails early. Worth watching for sure

Rather top-notch quality in the acting department, as expected (and as usual in UK shows).
It's just not as compelling as I expected it to be.
Besides, the Moriarty-less episodes (I've currently reached 03x01) tend to be a bit dragged on and on the boring side.

Good analysis

I liked it. Going into it, I wasn't expecting much from a modern day Holmes story, but that first episode nailed the spirit of the original stories. It started to shy away from that a bit as the show went on but it still was worth watching.
