Shaq will ALWAYS be Steel? How dare they recast a white actor! RACIST!!

"Steel" was an awesome film, and shouldn't be messed with.

Who the heck do they think they're kidding here? Like adding "Max" to the title was going to hide the fact that this is a remake?

It's bad enough that they're remaking a classic film. However, to take one of the best African-American superheroes of all time and make him a little white boy is a cultural attack!!!!

Disney might have well donated millions to David Duke's political campaign, as this is clearly the work of a white supremacist.

I will be boycotting all Disney movies and TV shows until they answer for this cultural crime. Maybe in the mean time I'll just watch Netflix shows like Luke Cage. That'll show Disney. That's right Disney...you're not the only one making superhero movies anymore and Luke Cage isn't racist like your crap is. You should try to put standards in your movies like they do.

You're stupid. Steel was garbage. And Max Steel isn't a remake its an adaptation of a 2001 TV series. Also Luke Cage is marvel. Marvel is owned by Disney.

Max Steel is owned/headed by Mattel.
Steel is owned by DC Entertainment/Warner Bros.

Also, Disney has absolutely nothing to do with Max Steel... Like, nothing.

Funny enough, Disney has a lot to do with Luke Cage (Which you seem to love a lot)... As they are the owners of the Marvel Television Division. So yeah, you're really trying to boycott and bad mouth what you appear to, well, love.

Sooo... I have to believe that, your intent with this post was to just, "yank our chain", by deliberately making yourself sound terribly misinformed and confused.

If this isn't a joke... Well then bruh, you seriously should consider removing your review and reading up on... sh#t.

Unless you know something we don't, in which case, please, enlighten us.

Very good point. You know, the original poster posted the same thing in the one review currently up there, but I was just glad to HERE respond to him----no, this is not Disney-nothing producing it is Disney, nothing that the comic book itself owns it is. (Though I don't see any WB companies producing this either.) Frankly, I never really knew or remembered much about this but Shaq was 1980s-90s, dude (to the OP). And if Marvel, Disney, anytime a hero character's mentioned, most know: Spiderman. Ant Man. Batman. Hulk, Superman, Fantastic Four, Teen Titans, all of them from either DC/WB or Marvel/Disney. And you go ask the average Joe out on the street, if they heard of a super steel man, and 99 out of 100 percent it's always: SUPERMAN.(Tried to post this earlier.)

Seriously you have no idea about what you are talking about. Steel is loosely based on a character created for the Rise of the Supermen comic books in the aftermath of the apparent death of Superman. Max Steel is based on the 2001 and 2012 cartoon serieses where a teenager stumbles into his father's secret labratory and is accidentally transformed into the super hero / spy Max Steel.
