Is this kid friendly?

Well, it's a satire, and kids generally take a bit longer than 9 years of old to interpret irony and alike from my own experience as a teacher, you'd have to be carefull with being satirical since everyone develops differently. As a parent you know your kid the best.

The film is sort of a how to screw up the planet tutorial. It's kids friendly. I haven't watched the film with kids though so I have no idea about their response.

I'd say, if your kid loved the "Your friend the rat" on Ratatouille, then he might enjoy this shortfilm as it is somewhat similar in style.
