Comedies unfairly judged?

I mean this is a fkn hilarious film. It deserves to be at least a 6. I understand its not everyones taste but the genius is still there. The best stuff the frailly bros did always suffers from stuffy ass holes on here too.

I get that it's not for some people, but there's some people who watch movies like this and scratch their chin and put their nose in the air and think, "I'm above this "dumb" comedy." People like to hate comedies that make what they deem "juvenile" jokes, as if they don't have a sense of humor. It's like when people say "you have to be an 8 year-old to laugh." Why? Why do these people know what 8 year-olds and 30 year-olds and 60 year-olds laugh at? Piss off.

As for what you said, I think 6 is right where it should be. This movie has some gut-busting scenes, but it feels too inconsistent to me. Also, for a movie this silly I think they spent a little too much time on plot intricacies nobody really cared about.

I gave it a solid 10.0. Ive not oscar stuff, of course. But its a a+ comedy and one of the funniest movies ever. Ya, 6.0 if you're rating it next to say... deer hunter or saving private ryan. But this is a comedy with rude jokes. I tell ya... People that hate this movie are just miserable people or at the very least having an "@sshole of a day"

It's in my top 5 funniest films of all time. It really appeals to the juvenile dumbass in me and that is not a bad thing at all. I think people need to take it for what it is. A stupidly hilarious slice of fried comedy gold.

People take comedies way to seriously as if they were watching a Scorsese

People like to watch themselves sneer at the "idiot comedy" genre, to prove how tasteful they are and exist as a higher life form.

It's a pretty easy thing to do, as the idiot comedies sort of set themselves up for that.

But, yes, some of them are funny -- MacGRUBER, ZOOLANDER (I've yet to see the sequel) even DUDE, WHERE'S MY CAR made me laugh.

There are, indeed, some truly awful, laughless ones. But they don't tend to rate any lower with the critics or the IMDb voters than the brilliantly silly ones.

They all get shuffled together, which is unfair yet goes with the territory.

hilarious is a stretch

the only thing funny for me were the sex scenes and the stereo running joke

other than that it was pretty damn boring. and some scenes outright bothered me, like when he blew up his crew or when he crossed out the guy's name because he's gay(this was 2010 really? this was unoriginal in like 1980)

comedies arent unfairly judged, bad comedies are.

kindof ironic since scorsese made some great comedies like wolf of wall street and the king of comedy

but even "stupid" comedies there are great ones of, like superbad, hangover, pineapple express.

this aint one of them
