Season 1 re-airing on Planet Green

I never saw season one and I have now seen the first couple of episodes. I think that the season 1 crew had it easier since they were left in a huge warehouse with almost everything they needed.

The only character that I really don't like is Mike. It looks like he's a defeatist with some serious issues. Why is he so angry with Morgan? Is it her age (23) and lack of experience'. I checked the Wikipedia article and it says that he is an actor... I like everyone else so far.

Mike actually builds sets and wants to be an actor. It has been posted on here before but look on YouTube for his pilot show. He is a horrible actor.

Actually it's the ol' pound of gold for a loaf of bread scenario.

Think of it this way, they're 'trapped' in the middle of a hostile urban environment with very limited sources of food and surronded by countless hordes of baddies who find it easier to steal than to fish / hunt / fetch water for themselves. I think the first season was much more impressive and forward thinking then season 2.

For me, one of the biggest mistakes season 2 made was being so effective at rationing that they continued to put off basic necessitites - like gathering water from rain, experimenting with non-berry plants, more effective hunting / fishing, and of course S E C U R I T Y . Damn, how many times did we have to see them get punked ... they never caught on that they became an ATM for the militia, let them putter along ... raid ... rebuild / putter along ... raid ... and so on.

In a life / death game the handling of Becka was piss poor - she offered NOTHING to the group, if anything they should have taken the opportunity to trap the truck and at least capture their guard - warning that they had one of their warriors, all they had was a skinny girl with no special skills ... tell the abductors, no food or water for your man until you give up the truck and the girl. Then they could have used the truck to temporarily barricade the componnd and load up for an escape.

I agree. the season 2 crowed should have made a barricade or at least a can on a wire type alarm system. Thee old can on a line has worked in war and can still work today. These guys were totally defense only until the end... the twist at the end kind of sucked though. I think the producers planned that just to throw us off. They could have even had Sian with the other group at the big house as if it were the better arrangements that VOPA promised her...lol
