Then why is David Hasselhoff signed?

Maybe for a cameo?

If this is supposed to be a comedy, then I bet The Hoff will be some sort of Lifeguard Mentor to Hader in the same way Carl Weathers was to Happy Gilmore. He'll probably have a prosthetic leg due to a shark attack and show him the "Ways of the Waves". Hmmm, I should trademark that.

Bill Hader is not a good choice. Mitch is suppose to be a beach hunk. BTW will it be based on the original TV characters? I thought The Rock would be playing the "Mitch" role.
