Superb film, not for yats with ADD

Cherry Tree Lane is not only a superb horror film, but it manages to create tension and brutality by NOT showing you everything.
This is probably what has upset some of the yats posting that this film is "the worst" "terrible" etc., because it doesn't have explosions every 5 minutes, machetes chopping peoples' heads off, graphic torture porn etc, etc.

Great writing, acting and cinematography combine to make this one of the best genre films of it's kind i've seen in a long while.

I thought this film was nice, but come on, WTF? Stop generalizing audiences who dislike your movie to be Michael Bay fanatics looking for CG explosions in every scene. If you were truly an intellectual with refined tastes, you wouldn't be making such irrational conclusions. Is IMDB filled with teenagers or just really immature adults?

Imagine how obnoxious it would be if everyone started doing that. "What, you don't like the smooth taste of vanilla ice cream? You must be one of those low-life chocolate ice cream-eating scum. Go back to your crude brown treat -- this ivory delight is too luxurious for your simpleton ice cream palate you pedophile bottom-feeder!"

Came here to say the exact same thing. This movie is mediocre in my view but not because it doesn't have explosions, gore or high octane action. Everything about the movie is just bang average. The concept, the script, the cinematography. The performances are the best thing about the movie but there's little to work with.

We were watching the same movie? It was some of the weakest crap I've ever sat through. From the time the thugs got there, till the time they waited on Seb, all they did was sit around and run their mouths.
