Hand held cameras

Mercy, I LOVE Getting On!!!! I finally bought the box set this month so I could see the eps not found online. It's been a couple of years since I discovered this treasure.

What I did not remember was the 'seasickness' cams. Good god, the hand held cameras bobbed and weaved worse than any other show I can recall. I know that they are popular nowadays, but this production took the cake. For the first couple of days trying out the DVDs, I had to look away and mostly listen. The shaking camera work hurt my eyes. Eventually I got used to it and was able to truly watch, but it remained distracting.

Such a poor choice for an otherwise near-perfect piece of art.

^I take your point, but the hand-held cameras didn't bother me. It just added to the general air of chaos that the entire series evokes. As you say, the series is a treasure; I haven't laughed so much in quite a while.
