I can't help but think that this is a rip off of Cujo...Disabled vehicle, crazed animal attacking the passengers, no way to communicate with outside world.
If anyone seen it, can you tell me if there is something -anything- that makes this different than Cujo? Or it's just a St. Bernard in a bear costume?

shareI'm actually watching it right now and immediately thought of Cujo. I mean, the bears attacking because one of the guys killed it's mate and it wants REVENGE! It's a pretty crappy movie but my two favorite parts so far are the guy in the bear suit killing one of the girls by throwing her repeatedly into the side of the van and the other when a guy in the van yells at the bear that he's going to "eat your *beep* babies" & "skull *beep* your stupid *beep* face". Now THAT'S good writing :)
Cujo was rabid, so revenge had nothing to do with it. The bear is pissed not crazy.
Another big difference... Cujo was a good movie
Yes I've seen it. It's very different from Cujo. In Cujo, you have a mother and child endangered and they desperately need to get out of their broken down car for a very good reason: they are at risk of heat stroke. But the way into the cool house with the running water is barred by a giant rabid dog. It's nail-biting stuff.
In Bear, you have four morons who are relatively safe in their broken down car. It's night time and the weather is clearly cool because they are all wearing jackets. But the idiots keep getting out of their car where it is proven time and time again that a bear is waiting to maul their asses as soon as they leave it. Completely different scenario.
