movie concept...

i havent seen the trailer, but by reading wat it was about it really reminds of that nicholas cage movie "the family man"

Well, they can't make it exactly like Family Man. But let me say just from seeing the trailer it is very very simliar. To the point of if you watched one and took a quiz for the other you would get an A. Then again like I said I just saw the trailer not the movie.

Mr.Padfoot would like to register his astonishment that an idiot like that ever became a Professor

Oh yes, they can.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought that. I just watched the trailer, and I said "Didn't I already see this movie?".

Yes, it is a familiar concept. I believe Dallas Jenkins filmed it with "It's a Wonderful Life" in mind. It's basically a movie that shows Christian movies do not have to be created substandardly and can compete in the mainstream without losing faith values. The concept seems to attract audiences every time (think: Ghosts of Girlfriends Past, any of the Scrooge-type movies, and The Family Man, for instance). It's worth watching, the cast is fantastic and the acting is spot on.

I just saw this movie in Phoenix this week. I wanted to see it because it was filmed in Manistee, Michigan, a town I know very well. I was pleasantly surprised by how good this movie is! The plot is interesting, the characters are likeable, and it's not "preachy." I hope it goes into a wider release so more people can see it. It's something that I'd definitely want to watch again.

And by seeing the movie, you'll find out that you were pretty much right, Family Man it is.

Hmm, considering how it is supposed to be all about Christian values and such, I do believe reading somewhere that God decidedly disapproves of stealing anything, even ideas, plots and the like. Must be some other God, then...

When I heard of this, the first comparison which came to mind was "Mr. Destiny", with Jim Belushi and Michael Caine.
