No gospel presented.


While the movie gives an opportunity to present the gospel, it fails to do so. As close as it gets is saying that Jesus is one's Savior. No mention of Jesus dying on the cross. No mention of Jesus resurrecting bodily from the dead. The "offense" of the gospel is removed.

Yeah I noticed this too. There were parts where it was about to be mentioned, and then it strays somewhere else.

Totally agree. It's sad. Films of this ilk present Christianity as little more than moralism with their focus being largely upon the Law. I find it's a common theme among most "modern" Christian films. Even when the Gospel is presented, it's a single line in a single scene and not the focus.

I'd say the parable of the vineyard contains a lot of Gospel (we are ALL 11th hour laborers, after all, granted what we do not deserve), but the focus here was the grumbling of the other laborers...
