Thanks God Brazil is not trying to show their social problems again!

The special FXs were made by Russian Lev Kolobov and the assistant who's also Russian, Alexei Potemkin though the overseer was the American guy, Geoff Scott. During the film different people were talking in Hebrew, German, Portuguese, Russian and so on but it was a pleasant harmony all around. There were 100 pages with 250 images which were later used with the computers. There were available 5.000 costumes and they used fractal geometry in some compositions.

And yet, I wondered: if Our Home was built during 16th Century according to the book and the film, why doesn't the architecture depict something like that... like Portuguese Manuelina style prior to Barroque? Yet, it's not the film's mistake though. The drawings made by the medium Chico Xavier (included the Star of David) were the source of this. Maybe it's not a mediumic "mistake" but the architects foresaw a futuristic different style.

The special effects were good for a Brazilian movie though I think the narrative wasn't as effective. In spite of this I have to say it's an undeniable effort in Brazilian cinema.

There's a thin gap between skepticism and cynicism
