A poor man's Abel Ferrara's 'Ms .45'

Abel Ferrara already did it better in the 80's. Even the mute girl part is lifted from his movie. Nothing original really. Just a lesser version on the same theme.

I don't think a whole lot of people saw Ms .45, though I agree this film is definitely reminiscent of that.
Of course, there aren't too many films being made these days that can't be compared to any earlier film, so to say this is a ripoff or a cheap version of Ms .45 (or any other movie) is too easy.
This movie was about a mute woman avenging her sister's brutal death at the hands of sex traders.
Ms .45 was about a mute woman avenging her own rape.

Since "mute woman takes vengeance" is the only thing that ties these together, you could complain that every romantic comedy is based on "pretty woman falls in love". The only thing is that a lead character that is mute is a rarity. If it was as common as a pretty woman, nobody would ever think of Ms .45

Just sayin'....
