I was watching "A Few Good Men" the other night and after Kaffe has Jessup he says to him "you're under arrest you son of a bitch." It's a line that makes me dislike the Kaffee character each and every time. He really was what Jessup labelled him: " A snotty little bastard." Did Columbo ever pull this kind of shit after he had his suspect? I can't imagine he would but maybe more informed Columbo junkies could edify me ...

Well, there was certainly a measure of self-satisfaction often evident whenever he cornered his suspect.

There is one episode where tells the murderer, earlier than usual, that he is defintely the suspect, and reminds them that they face the death penalty.
