This "documentary" is bullsh!t with a snazzy poster.

I wouldn't say that at all. I think Yony Leyser did a fine job, managing to simultaneously convey Burroughs's humanity and essential strangeness. The only bone I have to pick is with Genesis P-Orridge's characterization of William Burroughs Jr.'s writing as solely an approval-seeking exercise. I don't believe P-Orridge was being malicious, and Burroughs Jr. certainly did crave his father's love and acceptance, but as a writer he had plenty to say--and he said it in his own voice. John Waters wasn't just being nice when he said that Billy's books are great in their own right; he was absolutely correct.
