Amy Smart was brilliant in this

I never saw Amy Smart as a very talented actress, but this role really showed how great an actress she can be. I haven't seen all her movies, only the movies where her roles didn't require excellent acting. This movie didn't really need her to be great, but she was anyway. Especially at the end when she was in the bank. I know this might sound crazy, but I would add that scene to my top 100 movie scenes of all time.

I was thinking the same thing, she was the highlight of this movie. I've seen her in lots of things, hope she has a big breakout role soon. Which might happen, she has a lot of projects currently on the go!

Great news! You know, I hated her in The Butterfly Effect, and in anything before that. But then I watched The Battle of Shaker Heights and I fell in love with her. So weird how simple roles can completely change your view on actors.

Wow really? I thought she was great in that. It's what made me a fan.

She's fantastic in everything. It's a shame she isn't a household name. For some reason (I suspect she wouldn't sleep with producers) she's never gotten a leading role in a big Hollywood movie. It's possible that Road Trip made her look like a typical Californian Blonde Bimbo so she was never taken seriously. Another great actress is Judy Greer. Again never seemed to have made a big break. Meanwhile there are so called actresses like Cameron Diaz who everyone knows but who couldn't act their way out of McDonalds drive through.

I don't know who she is. But she did a good acting job. Good, not great. But the role didn't require top acting chops. A lot of actresses could've done it. Blair did a really good acting job, too. As did the husband con artist. Beau Bridges, as usual, was excellent.

Excellent acting throughout.

@bpollen

I agree. She was not recognizable to me either.
