crap

Too many flashback sequences, stupid pointless exposition without ever really explaining the background of the antagonist. No way he escaped room full of SWAT which surrounded the place. The woman speaking Italian at the end sounds horrible, she is definitely not fluent.

Agreed. One of 2 movies I've turned off 30 minutes into it. Good premise, poorly executed.

um.... but the background of the atagonist was explained both in the opening sequence and the secret meeting the cop had with the former member.

"No way he escaped room full of SWAT which surrounded the place."

true, but name me a horror movie that dosen't have this type of issue, you expect these things in horrors to me this is nit picking.

"The woman speaking Italian at the end sounds horrible, she is definitely not fluent. "

That's because she was the woman that was in the main game and body of the movie nd quite posibly learnt italian.

Sorry but did you actually watch this?

reply

yes i watched it and my point about the woman speaking italian is i'm sure they could have found a comparable actress who was fluent in italian. i don't think it was nitpicking. yes horror movies generally have characters do what i'd call dumb things, but it is quite another thing to have a scenario which is virtually 100% improbable so my gripe is valid.

Specially if you consider it was produced by Canada and Italy.

SPOILER

I think you might have missed the point on this scene. It's related that she is not fluent in Italian. She is Melody, the teen with the drug problem. They are showing how her new ''reborn'' life has changed her. She is now clean, respectable and living in Rome. Obviously as a teen junkie, she most likely was not cultured to be bilingual, so learning Italian is something she has recently learned. I thought the fact that she spoke in a slow measured tone created that illustration perfectly. =)
