You'll probably like it if...

...if you like Nicholas Winding Refn 'experimental' movies ('Fear X', 'Valhalla Rising' etc.) and consider his other movies (like 'Bronson' or 'Drive') to be of a lower quality. Also if you like movies by Fabrice du Welz and low budget SF from the 80s ('Hardware', 'Blood of Heroes' etc.).

I like low budget sci fi. I like all Nic Winding Refn.

I hated Mute. It's one of the worst movies I've ever seen given my expectation levels.

A disaster.

Makes sense, though it could also go the other way. That is, one may not particularly care for any of the aforementioned films and directors and still somehow like “Mute”.

I imagine not a whole lot of people fall into both camps.

Hated it. The plot was boring. ~Cheers

I enjoyed both Drive and Valhalla Rising, although I haven't seen the other films you mentioned.

Mute was a mixed bag for me. I liked the world and the characters were bizarre and interesting. The neo-noir thing I dig. Then again, some of the plot elements felt tacked-on, there were some dangled threads, and the theme of being silent wasn't as well-used as it might have been.
