As expected..

the trailer looks freaking amazing. I really hope this is as good as Moon.

I thought I'd heard somewhere, way back, that this was going to be a continuation of Moon, of sorts. Is that incorrect, or, same universe, or something?

reply

Yes it's supposedly set in the same universe as Moon. But not really a continuation more of a spiritual sequel I guess. They've been really secretive about this so it'll be interesting to see how they connect.

Better than I even initially expected. I definitely look forward to it.

it's nowhere near the level of Moon... The antagonists were hipster dorks..

In particular Paul Rudd's hipster criminal felt very TV for some reason... The kind of antagonist we'd find in a stoner comedy... Overall had a TV movie feel (albeit high end) towards the last hald, despite the visuals and the mood of the early part of the movie...

I hate to say it but it was a big dissapointment. It's nowhere near the level of moon or not even Source Code. But I actually liked the characters. Especially Paul Rudd's character, he was creepy, weird and funny. But the story was really weak and it was kind of boring after a while.

The visuals were great and definetely the best part of the film. I did enjoy at least parts of it so it wasn't totally unwatchable, but it should have been so much better. I can't believe how long I kept waiting for this to be released.. and this is what we got.

Yeah... Much more of a feeling that it was a missed opportunity, that it could have been much better...

I really liked the mood of the first third of the movie... the main actor/character was solid as was the Leo's relationship with Naadirah... Cactus was creepy and I could probably buy him as a near future hipster creep, but something was off in the second half of the movie...
