Proof that low budget Horror films can be awesome.

excellent job by everybody involved.

I completely agree...just imagine what kind of magic this director could come up with if he had a budget 10 times higher.

I agree - the story was great, I liked the fact that It made vampires "monsters" again, and in its own inventive way gave its own spin on the different types of vampires depending on the length of time since infection.

If I had to fault this film at all it would have to be in regards to costume and make-up. If there was a little more time and budget spent on these the film would have been faultless. ( but really, what was the costume designer thinking on making the brotherhood wear sacking like they were peasants from a robin hood film )

I think there was enough in this film to carry on with the story ( not sure if I missed the point of the "cannibals in new eden" part ) Would love to see a tv series of it even.

I agree

I'm not even sure what made me rent this movie and I must have had it sit on top of the DVD player for about a month, then for whatever reason I looked on youtube for the trailer, it made me think of a SyFy flick and with that low expectation I decided to watch the movie.

I'm so glad I did because this was a great flick.

I thought this movie was great as well, but I don't think you can call something done for 4 mil 'low budget' when it comes to horror films.

4 million is the estimated.. and believe me it was much less then that.

It' funny how many zombie movies that have been done in the last 20 years tell the same story and are complete crap.

This had great characters, acting, and a story. The makeup was good, there weren't times I was thinking 'that's to fake looking'. Most zombies movies just smear some blue paint on and that's it.

I know they were vampires but they acted like most zombies.

Anyway, it's to bad more low budget directors don't have talent. This was made for $4 million and was great. GI Joe and Transformers both cost alot and were utter crap.
